Review 2025
We can look back on a successful Zytturm Triathlon 2025. We were sold out early on and despite last-minute adjustments to the bike course, the event went off without a hitch. The safety of our athletes is always our top priority as organisers. We are therefore all the more pleased that, despite brief rain showers, there were no accidents on the new cycle route through the Säuliamt.
A big thank you goes to our sponsors, helpers, partners and of course to you athletes – thanks to all of you, the Zytturm Triathlon 2025 was a complete success.

Outlook 2026

We are planning to hold the 32nd Zytturm Triathlon on 13/14 June 2026 (TBC). This date has been confirmed with all municipalities and cantons, as well as Swiss Triathlon.
Registration is expected to open on 1 January 2026 and we will offer the same competitions as in 2025 on Saturday and Sunday. You will be made aware of the registration page by email, via our website and social media shortly beforehand.
Please note: There will be no duathlon in 2026. The additional organisational effort has been very high in recent years and we currently do not have the necessary capacity to continue to run the format in the usual quality. We are therefore focussing fully on the triathlon and want to offer you the best possible experience.
Route changes for 2026
There will be a change to the running route for the olympic and the relay distance as the subway at Brüggli is impassable until spring 2027. The modified running route will be visible on the new maps until registration.
The cycle route from 2025 will be retained in 2026. Your feedback was largely positive – at the same time, we know that some of you would like to see the traditional “Seerunde” return. We are convinced that the current route offers many advantages in the long term: It is less congested, increases the safety of all participants and can be implemented more sustainably in organisational terms.
However, we would first like to gain another year of experience with this route before making a decision for future events. After the 2026 triathlon, we will again seek your feedback as athletes in order to jointly assess which route variant is best suited in the long term.
Your suggestions and proposals for improvement will of course continue to be incorporated into the optimisation of the bike course so that we can continue to develop it and make the cycling experience even more attractive.
Other exciting changes for 2026 will be improved logistics on the event site and the postal dispatch of all starting documents for the Sunday events.

At the end

We are already looking forward to the next event – and to welcoming all the athletes and spectators on these two days.
If some of you are disappointed by our decision regarding the bike route, we apologise for any inconvenience. We are convinced that the adjustments will contribute to an even safer and better organised event.
Our organising committee consists exclusively of volunteers who organise the triathlon in their free time with a great deal of passion and commitment. However, with the ever-increasing demands of organising such an event, we need more support. If you would like to become part of our OC team, take on responsibility and play an active role in shaping the future of the Zytturm Triathlon, we would be delighted to hear from you via the contact form. Every helping hand is welcome!
See you soon – hopefully in June 2026!
